Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon green onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin works best)
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, mirin, chopped green onion, and black pepper in a bowl. Whisk until the sugar dissolves

  2. 2

Place the thinly sliced beef in a bowl and pour half of the Bulgogi Sauce over it. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse

  3. 3

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions, carrots, and bell peppers. Stir-fry until vegetables are tender-crisp. Add the marinated beef to the pan. Cook the steak until it is well done and browned

  4. 4

Drizzle the remaining Bulgogi Sauce over the cooked beef and vegetables. Toss to combine. Serve the Hello Fresh Bulgogi hot over steamed rice garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
