Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 1-1/3 cups beef broth
- 5 Tablespoons gluten free reduced-sodium Tamari (or soy sauce if not GF)
- 3 Tablespoons mirin
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 small yellow onion (halved then thinly sliced)
- 1 lb top sirloin steak (sliced very thin and against the grain)
- white rice (for serving)

Bring beef broth, Tamari or soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium then add onions and simmer until onions are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add beef slices into the broth then cook until just barely done, about 1-2 minutes. Serve over white rice.
