Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 1/2 cup dried longan
  • 3 pandan leaves
  • 50.7 ounces water
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. 1

Rinse the dried longan until the water is clear. Then, soak the longan for about 20 minutes.

  2. 2

Rinse the fresh pandan leaves. If using dried ones, put them in a steeper so that they are easy to discard later.

  3. 3

Set a pot of water over medium heat. Add the soaked longan, pandan leaves to the pot and boil for about 20 minutes so that the longan flesh is soft.

  4. 4

Once the longan is soft, bring the drink to a boil and add the sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Turn off the heat.

  5. 5

Let the drink cool to room temperature and serve with ice or store in the refrigerator.
