Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 1/4 C powdered sugar
- 1 Tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 C whole milk
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1/2 Tsp vanilla extract
- 4 Tbsp salted butter
- 8 leftover biscuits
Instructions
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and ground cinnamon. Once they’re well mixed, stir in the milk, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Keep whisking until everything is combined. This is your egg wash, which will coat your biscuits and give them that French toast flavor.
- 2
Place a large skillet on the stove and set the heat to medium. Add two tablespoons of butter and let it melt completely. The butter will help give your biscuits a nice golden-brown color and keep them from sticking to the pan.
- 3
Take each biscuit and dip it into the egg wash. You can either give it a quick dip or let it soak for a few seconds, depending on how much flavor you want to absorb. Just make sure the biscuits are well coated on all sides.
- 4
Place the coated biscuits into the skillet. Cook them for about 3-4 minutes on one side until they’re golden brown. Then, flip them over and cook the other side. If you want, you can even stand the biscuits on their sides and cook those as well for a nice, even color all around.

Once the biscuits are cooked to your liking, transfer them to a plate. While they’re still warm, dust them with a bit of powdered sugar. Serve them up hot, and enjoy!
