Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 500 g Chicken Wings
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper (adjust to taste)
- Salt (adjust to taste)
- Black Pepper (adjust to taste)
- Coriander
Instructions
- 1
In a bowl, combine the vegetable oil, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well to make the marinade.
- 2
Place the chicken wings in a large resealable plastic bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the wings, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. For best results, marinate for 3-4 hours.
- 3
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 4
Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- 5
Place the chicken wings on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice char. During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the wings with the reserved marinade to add extra flavour.
- 6
Once the chicken wings are cooked, transfer them to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves for a burst of freshness.
- 7
Serve the barbecued chicken wings hot as an appetizer or as part of a delicious meal. They pair wonderfully with coleslaw, grilled corn, or your favourite dipping sauce.
