Crispy Baked Mexican Wontons
Turkey and cheese stuffed wontons are baked to crispy perfection. Such a fun and super yum appetizers that are sure to please the crowd. Can be cooked in Air-Fryer too.

Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder (optional)
- 8 oz Crystal Farms® Marble Jack Cheese (cut into large chunks)
- 40 wonton wrappers
- Your favorite salsa

Preheat a large nonstick skillet. Add cooking oil and swirl around to coat the bottom of the skillet. Add garlic and saute for about 10 seconds. Crumble in the ground turkey, cook for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle in cumin and paprika powder (if using). Add chunks of cheese and cook until the cheese is melted. Remove from the heat and let it cool down a little bit before wrapping

Preheat oven to 375 F. Line baking sheets with aluminum foil and spray with some cooking spray. Prepare a small cup of water. Place 10 wonton wrappers on your working surface. Scoop about 2 tsp of the filling onto the center of the wrapper. Brush the four edges of the wrapper with some water. Fold diagonally into half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal. Place on the baking sheet and spray with cooking spray. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the wontons are golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the rest

Spray wontons with cooking spray and then place in air fryer in one layer, and cook at 375F for 5 minutes or until crispy or golden brown. You may need to do this in small batches to get good result

Serve with salsa on the sides.
