- 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 (14.4 ounce bag) M&M chocolate candies
- cookie decorator icing (red, blue, green, yellow)

Pour 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.

In a saucepan over low heat, melt 1/4 cup butter. Once melted, add 4 cups mini marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.

Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until fully combined.

Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased 9×13-inch pan. Press down using a piece of wax or parchment paper until evenly flattened. Allow to cool completely (or refrigerate for 5 minutes to speed cooling).

While the Rice Krispies are cooling, separate 1 (14.4 ounce bag) M&M chocolate candies by color to match the icing. You will need 6 of the same color per treat.

Cut the cooled Rice Krispies into 18 rectangles.

Squeeze a portion of cookie decorator icing into a bowl. Dip the top of a Rice Krispie rectangle into the icing and smooth with a butter knife. Place M&Ms on top in parallel rows of three while the icing is still wet.

Repeat with the remaining Rice Krispies treats, using different colors of icing as desired.
