  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, (melted)
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, (packed )
  • 1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 pears, (peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch dice)
  • 3/4 cups sweetened dried cranberries
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

    Melt the butter in a small pot over medium-low heat, and stir in the remaining ingredients with a fork, until evenly mixed.

    Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.

    Add the remaining ingredients, tossing to coat, and cook until slightly softened (about 5 minutes).

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

    Top the fruit filling with the crumb topping, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pears are tender and the streusel is lightly golden on top.
