Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 4 medium strawberries (with stems removed)
  • 2.5 tbsp white granulated sugar (or honey / maple syrup)
  • 1.5 tsp matcha
  • 4 tbsp water (boiling hot)
  • 8 ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

    In a tall 16 oz. drinking glass, add strawberries and white granulated sugar and crush them with a muddler until they’re puréed. (If you don't own a muddler, finely chop or purée the strawberries in a blender and mix them in the glass with the sugar).

    Then add ice cubes on top of the puréed strawberries.

    Pour milk over the ice and set aside.

    Then sift matcha powder into a small bowl. Add hot boiling water to the matcha and whisk until frothy for 30 seconds.

    Pour the matcha liquid over the milk. Stir and enjoy!
