Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 garlic, minced
  • 3 garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium zucchini, cut in half lengthwise and then sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. 1

In a mixing bowl, combine chicken, cornstarch, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, honey, and minced garlic. Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken with marinade and stir fry 2 minutes until no longer translucent. Remove chicken and set aside, keeping sauce in pan.

  3. 3

Add a little more oil if needed. Stir fry smashed garlic, zucchini, and mushrooms for about 5 minutes, until tender.

  4. 4

Return chicken to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Stir fry 2–3 minutes until chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender.

  5. 5

Serve hot with rice or noodles.
