Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 2 garlic clove(s)
- 0.125 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp oil
- 0.5 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp mushroom seasoning
- 1 tsp water
- 1 broccoli
- 30 g carrot(s)
- peanuts (toasted)
Instructions
- 1
Mince garlic and put into a large bowl. Add salt, white pepper, oil, sesame oil, mushroom seasoning and water. Dissolve the salt and mushroom seasoning before proceeding.
- 2
Cut the broccoli into medium-sized florets with a paring knife. Rinse under running water. To prepare the stalk, slice off the bottom part and remove the outer fibrous layer. Slice the core thinly (ca. 2mm). Discard the stalk if you prefer only the florets.
- 3
Peel and cut carrot into slices of 2mm thickness. Optional: If you have extra time to spare, you can use a small cookie cutter for a fun shape.
- 4
Add the seasoning to the broccoli and carrots. Mix well. Place them into a plate or bowl for steaming. Arrange the florets to hide the stalks for a better appearance.
- 5
Place the plate in a steamer for 7 to 10 minutes. Use a fork to test if the vegetables are tender according to your preference.
- 6
Sprinkle roasted nuts for additional crunch and flavor. Serve hot.
