Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken
Slow cooker BBQ Chicken is made with a quick homemade sauce and can be enjoyed whole or shredded for a delicious BBQ chicken sandwich. It takes less than 10 minutes to get this into the slow cooker so you can set it and forget it!

- 4 boneless skinless chicken breast ((2 to 3 pounds))
- 1 medium yellow onion (halved and sliced (optional))
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

Place the 4 boneless skinless chicken breast into a 4–6 quart slow cooker. If using, scatter the 1 medium yellow onion over the top.

In a small bowl, whisk together the 1 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 2 teaspoons garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, and 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard.

Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken in the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on high for 2–3 hours or low for 4–5 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Serve the chicken whole, or shred it directly in the slow cooker and toss with the sauce for sandwiches.
