Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage (green or Napa (See Note 1))
- 4 green onions (cut into 2-inch pieces)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp Tabasco (or hot sauce of choice)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
Instructions
- 1
If using a green cabbage, cut in half and remove the core. Cut the cabbage into 2-inch pieces. If using a Napa cabbage, trim the white stalk from the leaf and cut the white part into 2-inch pieces and rough chop the green tops.
- 2
Prep the green onions and mix together the cornstarch and water.
- 3
In a hot wok add the oil and stir fry the cabbage and garlic for 1 minute.
- 4
Add the ketchup salt, hot sauce, red pepper flakes and stir fry 1 minute. Add the chicken stock and heat another minute to boiling. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir fry another 30 seconds, and sauce has thickened and coat vegetables.
- 5
Stir in green onions and toss to cook another 30 seconds. Season to taste and serve immediately.
