Country-Style Pork Ribs in the Oven

Ingredients
- 3 lb country-style pork ribs ( 1.3 kg, Note 2)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (Note 3)
- 2 tsp sweet paprika
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper to taste
- 1+1/2 tbsp fine sea salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (optional, Note 4)

Preheat the oven to 325°F/ 160°C.

Rub: Mix all the spices in a small bowl.2 tablespoons brown sugar + 2 teaspoons sweet paprika + 2 teaspoons smoked paprika + 1 teaspoon garlic powder + 1 teaspoon onion powder + ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper to taste + 1 ½ tablespoons fine sea salt + 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Season: Dry the pork ribs with a paper towel. Rub them well with the spice mixture.3 lbs country-style pork ribs/ 1.3 lbs

Bake: Place the ribs into the baking dish. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil. Bake them in the oven for 2 to 2 ½ hours until very tender. Remove the foil but be careful: the steam is hot!

Broil: Preheat the broiler. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Transfer the ribs to the baking dish using a slotted spoon. Brush the ribs with pan juices or BBQ sauce. Broil for 3-4 minutes until the ribs are browned to your liking. Always keep an eye on them to prevent them from burning.½ cup BBQ sauce

Serve: Baste them again with pan juices or BBQ sauce and serve immediately.
