Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 3-4 tablespoons reduced soy sauce
- 1- 1 1/2 cups chicken stock (, (adjust to desired thickness with more))
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons minced ginger
- 1/2 medium red onion (, cut into thin wedges)
- 1 pound large shrimps (, peeled and deveined)
- 1 pound vegetables (, (sliced carrots , zucchini, snap peas))
- 1 red bell pepper ( , sliced)
- 1 green onion (, sliced)
- 3 basil leaves or more
- 1 – 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (, (adjust to taste))
Instructions

Whisk together soy sauce, chicken stock, cornstarch and honey. Set aside.

Heat up the skillet with about 2 tablespoon of oil.

Quickly stir in garlic and ginger into skillet, let it cook for about one minute or less. Do not let it burn. Add in onions continue cooking for another 2 -3 minutes.

Stir in shrimp , and cook for about 1-2 minutes.

Pour in soy sauce mixture and let it cook until it thickens.

Add vegetables, red bell pepper and green onions, continue stirring , about 2-3 minutes.

Finally throw in basil, If desired, you may adjust with broth. Season with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes.
