Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, (chopped)
- 4 slices Bacon, (chopped)
- 16 oz Brussels Sprouts, (shaved or shredded)
- 2-4 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar, (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- Salt and Pepper, (to taste)

Heat oil in a deep or large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and bacon and cook until the bacon has released its fat and turned light brown about 3-5 minutes.

Add the brussels sprouts and saute until slightly tender and crisp, about 3-5 minutes.

Pour in the vinegar and water; cover and cook in low to medium heat until vegetables are tender, 3-5 minutes. Season with sugar, salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately with rice, if preferred
