Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 palm sugar half
  • 15 whole green bird eye chili peppers
  • ¼ tsp crab paste
  • 1/2 tsp shrimp paste
  • 1 tbsp tamarind paste
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp padaek
  • ½ tsp msg
  • 2 cups unripe papaya, cut into thin strands
  • 14 yellow tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp whole salted crab
  • 1 lime

Instructions

    Prepare the papaya: peel, wash, and cut into long thin strands, then set aside.

    In a mortar and pestle, add garlic, sugar, peppers, then smash.

    Add the crab paste and shrimp paste and mix well.

    Add the tamarind, fish sauce, padaek, msg and mix.

    Add papaya shreds, tomatoes, whole salted crab, lime juice, and mix well.
