Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats

- 2 1/2 cup (334 g) whole wheat flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (145 g) dog safe peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (130 g) canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup (115 g) water
- 2 tablespoon (48 g) honey
- 2 tablespoon (40 g) dog safe peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon (22 g) honey
- 1/3 cup (39 g) cornstarch
- 3 tablespoon (45 g) hot water

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking tray with a slip mat or parchment paper.

Create the dough. In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer bowl with paddle attachment, add the wheat flour, eggs, pumpkin puree, peanut butter, salt, cinnamon, water, and honey. Mix together on medium speed until combined.

Roll and cut. On a lightly floured surface, roll out your dough to be about 1/2 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the treats. Continue to roll and cut until all the dough is used.

Bake. Place the cut treats on a baking tray. They do not spread or rise so you can place them close to each other. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crisp and the edges are golden brown. Let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Combine peanut butter and honey. In a microwavable bowl, add the peanut butter, and honey and microwave for 15 seconds or until melted.

Add cornstarch. Add the cornstarch and mix until combined.

Add water. Next, add the hot water one tablespoon at a time until the mixture thickens.

Pipe. Add the frosting to a piping bag and pipe the designs on the dog treats.
