Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 1 C long grain rice
- 1/8 Tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 Tsp granulated garlic
- 1 10-oz can french onion soup
- 1 10-oz can beef consommé
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter (sliced into thin pats)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat that oven to 400ºF and give an 8x8" baking dish a good coat of nonstick spray.
- 2
Toss your rice, seasonings, and soups right into the dish and give it a good stir.
- 3
Lay the thin pats of butter all over the top of the rice. I usually go for a neat 4x4 grid, but no need to be exact.
- 4
Cover the dish tightly with foil like you’re swaddling a baby, and pop it into the oven for 30 minutes on the middle rack.
- 5
After 30 minutes, pull back the foil and let it bake for another 30 minutes so it gets all bubbly and golden. Dassit!
