Toasted Coconut Flakes
Great Crispy Toasted Coconut flakes made from fresh Coconuts, nice toasted flavor, crispy, with a hint of sweetness. This is absolutely delicious and just addicting to eat!

- 1 Coconut
- 3 Tbsp Sugar (Optional)
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil

For Fresh Raw Coconut: Grate the coconut and clean the meat. Then use the largest shredding hole of the grater to grate the Coconut.

Add Sugar and stir (Optional)

In a medium pan, heat the oil on medium heat. Add your coconut flakes and continuously stir the Coconut as you toast; this will enable even browning.

After about 10 minutes a little more or less, the Coconut will be well browned.

If using sweetened Coconut flakes, Preheat Oven to 320F. Spread the Coconut flakes inside cookie Sheet and bake 5 to 6 minutes stirring at 2 to 3 minutes Intervals till golden brown.

If Using Unsweetened Coconut Flakes, preheat oven to 300F. Spread the Coconut flakes inside cookie Sheet and bake 7 to 10 minutes stirring at 3 minutes Intervals till golden brown.

No Oil is required in this method. Simply spread the flakes on a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on a high microwave setting at 30-second intervals stirring at each interval for about 5 to 6 minutes or till the coconut chips is golden brown.
