- 2 lb Flanken-Cut Short Ribs
- Water
- 1/2 Onion, Grated
- 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1/2 tbsp MSG
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp Oil
Instructions

Process the Short Ribs:
- 2
Start by giving the short ribs a quick soak. Place the ribs in a large bowl and cover with cold tap water. Let them soak for about 10 minutes to help loosen and remove any bone fragments or debris that may have been left over from the cutting process. After soaking, rinse the ribs thoroughly under running water and drain well
- 3
Make the Marinade:
- 4
Transfer the rinsed short ribs to a mixing bowl. Add the grated onion, minced garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, honey, MSG, black pepper, and oil. Mix everything together thoroughly until the ribs are evenly coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl and let the ribs marinate for at least one hour. For the best flavor and texture, marinate them overnight in the refrigerator

Grill the Short Ribs:
- 6
Preheat your grill to high heat, roughly 375-400F. Once it’s hot, place the short ribs directly on the grill grates. Grill each side for about 3-4 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and nicely charred on the edges

After grilling, let the short ribs rest for a few minutes. Then cut between the bones to separate each piece. Serve them on a platter as a flavorful appetizer, or enjoy them with a bowl of steamed rice as a hearty main course. Enjoy!
