Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 1/2 lb Chinese Long Beans (or Green Beans)
  • 1 cup Neutral Oil For Frying
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp MSG

Instructions

    Prep:

    Cut stem-ends of green bean off, then cut into 2" pieces. Add to a colander, wash thoroughly, and pat dry

    Finely mince five cloves of garlic

  4. 4

    Heat oil in a small pot or wok to 375F

  5. 5

    Cook:

    Add a splash of oil to a wok or frying pan, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside

    Flash fry dry green beans in oil for 10-15 seconds or until the skin has blistered. Remove the green beans from the oil, and immediately add to the pan with minced garlic. Season to taste with salt and MSG. Toss and mix well, ensuring that all the green beans are coated in the garlic oil and seasonings

    Serve on a plate, and enjoy!
