Air-Fried Chicken Wings

This Air-Fryer Chicken Wings Recipe, with a Thai Chili glaze, results in healthier, crispy wings that take very little time to cook.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb chicken wings ((see notes))
  • 2 sticks celery
  • 1 whole onion
  • 10 clove garlic
  • 8 cup water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/4 cup Franks hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp baking powder ((see notes))
  • 1/4 cup sweet Thai chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup Sambal Oelek sauce ((see notes))
  • 1/4 sup Sriracha hot chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime Juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp dark sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro ()
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

    Put the chicken wings, onion, garlic cloves, celery sticks, carrot, and salt and bring to a boil

    Once the water reaches a boil add the Franks Hot Sauce and boil on medium heat for 10 minutes. (see notes)

    Remove the wings using a slotted spoon, and lay them flat on a cookie sheet rack to dry for about 10 minutes. (See notes)

    Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

    Pat the wings dry and toss them in the baking powder.

    Air fry for 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through. (see notes)

    Remove from the oven and toss in the prepared sauce. (see notes)

    Grind, crush or grate your garlic, and ginger.

    Add these along with all of the remaining ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil.

    Simmer for 5-10 minutes to get a well blended consistency

    Cover and set aside till it's time to toss the wings

    Plate and sprinkle with the sesame seeds and cilantro and serve.
