Ingredients

- For 3-Ingredient Banana Peanut Butter Brownies
- 3 medium-sized ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup peanut butter or any nut/seed butter
- Optional add-ins
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 cup dairy-free dark chocolate chips (optional)
- NOTE: Some ingredients can be replaced with their vegan counterparts.
Instructions
- 1
Peel the bananas and mash into a smooth puree.
- 2
To a mixing bowl, add banana puree, peanut butter, unsweetened cocoa powder, and ground cinnamon if using.
- 3
Mix it well until it looks like a brownie batter. It’s fine if you see bits and pieces of banana as long as the batter is not dry. If for some reason the batter feels dry, that means you used smaller bananas or your nut butter is dry and not oily. In that case, add some more mashed banana or a splash of almond milk or any other dairy-free milk to adjust the batter consistency.
- 4
Line a 7 x 5-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- 5
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle some dark chocolate chips on top if you like.
- 6
Bake the brownies for 25–30 minutes in the oven at 350°F (180°C) until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with only a little crumb on it.
- 7
Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool for 10 minutes before slicing. For neater slices, you can let them cool completely before slicing and serving.
- 8
Enjoy them as it is or with a glass of milk or coffee.
