Easy Hot Dog Stir Fry
Hanna and I started dating during the pandemic, and like most people back then, we found ourselves making the most of what was in our fridge. One night early in our relationship, she whipped up this hot dog stir fry — and it was simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Since then, it’s become a staple

Ingredients

- 12 oz Hot Dogs/Hot Links
- 1 Yellow Onion
- 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- Black Pepper
- Green Onions

Prep:

Mince garlic. Cut whole onion in half and then into strips along the grain. Chop up green onions to use as a garnish

Slice hot dogs on a bias

Cook:

Add a splash of oil to a pan on medium-high heat. Add sliced hot dogs in a single layer. Allow the hot dogs to crisp on one side for a couple of minutes before mixing

Add sliced onions and minced garlic. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes

Add in ketchup, and continue to stir fry for another couple of minutes to allow the ketchup to caramelize and glaze over the hot dogs and onions

Pair with a bowl of white rice, and garnish with chopped green onions and fresh ground black pepper. Enjoy!
