  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons Red Miso Paste (Akamiso)
  • 10 - 13 Somen noodles approx. 1/3 of a bundle
  • Square piece of tofu cut into small squares
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried cut Wakame (seaweed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dashi powder (bonito flavouring)

Instructions

    In a saucepan, bring some water to a boil.

    Add Wakame and boil until the seaweed turns into small squares.

  3. 3

    Drain the water and rinse with cold tap water.

  4. 4

    Add 1/2 cup of water to the saucepan and bring to a boil.

  5. 5

    Once the water begins to boil, add Somen noodles (or tofu) and cook for approximately 2 minutes

  6. 6

    Pour in the miso paste and add Dashi powder.

  7. 7

    Stir well over low heat for approximately 1-2 minutes.

    Serve immediately.
