Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 2 "Kyuri" Japanese cucumber (*1)
  • 1/2 tbsp Sesame seed oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce (*2)
  • 1 tsp Torigara Soup Granules (*3 )
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 Togarashi (*4 optional)

Instructions

    Wash the cucumber and pat dry with a kitchen towel.

    Chop off the both ends of the cucumbers.

  3. 3

    Place the cucumbers into a ziplock bag.

  4. 4

    Zip the bag and smash the cucumber over the bag with a wooden rolling pin.

  5. 5

    Open the ziplock bag and break the large pieces of smashed cucumbers into smaller pieces.

  6. 6

    Add the rest on the ingredients into the bag.

  7. 7

    Zip up the bag and toss the cucumbers and seasoning together with your hands.

  8. 8

    Serve immediately in a serving bow or marinate in the fridge longer.
