Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 14 oz Frozen Precooked Baby Clams
  • Canned Chopped Clams
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Minced Shallots
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Chicken Bouillon
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Fish Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp White Pepper
  • Vietnamese Coriander
  • Jalapeños
  • Rice Cracker (Banh Da)

Instructions

  1. 1

Defrost frozen baby clams and soak them in room temperature water. Drain and rinse several times to remove any sand from the baby clams

  2. 2

Add baby clams to a mixing bowl. Drain chopped clams, and add to the mixing bowl as well. Season with turmeric powder, paprika, chicken bouillon, sugar, fish sauce, and white pepper. Mix well to make sure that seasoning is evenly distributed, then set aside

  3. 3

To a pan on medium-high heat, add oil, and sauté minced shallots and garlic until fragrant (1-2 minutes); add seasoned clams, and sauté for 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat, mix in Vietnamese coriander, and make any final seasoning adjustments to taste

  4. 4

Garnish with more Vietnamese coriander and sliced jalapeno. Serve with rice crackers and enjoy!
