Instructions

Step 1: Sift the Matcha Powder Sifting 1-2 teaspoons of matcha powder into a bowl ensures a smooth, clump-free latte. Sifting is a crucial step for achieving that velvety texture.
- 2
Step 2: Add Hot Water Pour 2-3 ounces of hot water (not boiling) into the bowl with the matcha powder. 175°F (80°C) is the perfect matcha brewing temperature. This temperature is ideal because it allows the matcha powder to dissolve properly without scorching it, which can result in a bitter taste. Boiling water at 212°F or 100°C is too hot and can destroy the delicate flavors and nutrients in matcha, so it’s important to let the water cool slightly before using it. Use your matcha whisk to vigorously whisk in a "W" or "M" motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and frothy.

Step 4: Combine and Sweeten Pour the whisked matcha into your glass of protein shake slowly. Stir gently to combine. Add sweetener to taste, if desired.

Step 5: Enjoy! Sip and savour your homemade matcha latte. For an extra touch, sprinkle a little matcha powder or add a dash of cinnamon.
