- 1 lb medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 small yellow onion (minced)
- 1/3 cup white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- fresh ground black pepper (to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Rinse the shrimp, then drain and pat them dry with paper towels.

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add butter and olive oil.

Sauté the garlic and onion in the pan until they are golden brown and fragrant.

Add the white wine to the pan and simmer the sauce for 2 minutes.

Next, add the shrimp to the pan and cook until they turn pink. Reduce the heat to medium-low and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let the shrimp cook for 5 minutes, then season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
