Ingredients

- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour or maida
- 1/2 cup butter (soft)
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar (can use up to 1 cup)
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven at 180C for 15 minutes. Cream butter and sugar together very well until creamy. Add vanilla and mix well. Add all the other ingredients and bring together like a dough. Add 1-2 tablespoons milk if the mixture refuses to bind. Fold in the raisins and mix gently.

Divide the dough into 25-28 equal sized balls and press slightly. Arrange in cookie sheet and bake till the edges turn slightly brown for about 12-15 minutes. The cookies may appear soft after 15 minutes, but on cooling they will turn crispy.
