Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 1 serving soup instant ramen ((I recommend a spicy kind like Jin Ramen or Shin Ramen))
- 1/2 packet instant ramen soup seasoning (that comes with the instant ramen )
- 1 packet dried vegetable flakes (that comes with the instant ramen (optional))
- 1 large egg
- 2 slices American cheese (or regular cheddar/Swiss/mozzarella cheese sliced into half)
- 9.3 fl oz. water (cold)
- 1 tbsp green onion (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
Instructions
- 1
In a large shallow pan, add cold water, instant ramen soup seasoning with dried vegetable flakes if available, and garlic. Bring to a rolling simmer over low-medium heat. Do not turn heat past this or it’ll evaporate the water quickly.
- 2
Once the water comes to a rolling simmer, add instant ramen. Cook instant ramen on each side for about 20-30 seconds.
- 3
Loosen instant noodles and create a hole in the center.
- 4
As soon as noodles are loosened, make a well in the center and crack an egg into it. Once the egg whites are opaque, add sliced cheese on top of the noodles and green onions.
- 5
Cook noodles for another 1 minute until cheese has melted and mix to enjoy!
