Iced Tea Lemonade

Iced Tea Lemonade is a refreshing drink made with half iced tea and half lemonade. It's the perfect Arnold Palmer drink made from scratch.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 2 family size tea bags
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 4 large lemons ((squeezed))
  • 2 cups ice ((for chilling))
  • lemon slices ((for garnish))
  • fresh mint, lavender or basil ((optional flavor infuser))

Instructions

    Bring water to boil in a large saucepan on stove. Add tea bags and let steep for 10 minutes while making lemonade.

    Remove tea bags after 10 minutes and let tea cool down. Add to a large pitcher and stir.

    In a saucepan on medium heat, add sugar to boiling water and stir until sugar is dissolved to make a simple syrup. Add fresh mint or basil if infusing. If not, proceed to next step.

    Juice lemons into a bowl using a lemon squeezer. Pour in the simple syrup from the saucepan and mix well.

    Add lemonade mixture to tea in the pitcher and stir. Add lemon slices and mint leaves. Stir in cups of ice which will melt down into water. Add more ice as needed.

    Fill tall glasses to the top with ice.

    Pour Iced Tea Lemonade over ice in tall glasses.

    Garnish glasses with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
