Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 1 bulb garlic (approximately 10 cloves per bulb)
  • cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. 1

Take 1 bulb garlic and peel the cloves. Trim the ends and remove the cores (germ) to prevent bitterness.

  2. 2

    Thinly slice the cloves.

  3. 3

Place them in a bowl of cold water and swish to remove residue.

  4. 4

Drain and pat thoroughly with kitchen paper to dry them.

  5. 5

Place the garlic slices in a small cold pan and add cooking oil until submerged. Heat on medium-low, and when the oil starts to bubble, reduce the heat to the lowest setting.

  6. 6

Gently fry the garlic until they become golden. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

  7. 7

Once golden, use a mesh spoon to scoop the garlic slices out of the oil and place on kitchen paper to absorb any excess oil.

  8. 8

Store in an airtight container to maintain the crispiness and enjoy on ramen, salads and more!
