Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, (lightly packed)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 8 ounces chocolate, (divided)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place the cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa, water, salt, and half the chocolate in a small pot.

Stirring occasionally, allow the mixture comes to a boil.

Turn the heat down to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove from the heat and whisk in the remaining chocolate, butter, and vanilla extract.

Transfer the hot fudge sauce to a mason jar or other heat-safe vessel.
