Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 2 pounds chicken wings or drummers
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Nakano Natural Rice Vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Pre-heat oven to 425 and line a baking sheet with foil.

  2. 2

Place chicken wings in a large bowl and pat dry with a paper towel. Toss to coat with oil, salt, and pepper then place in a single layer on a prepared baking sheet. Bake chicken wings until golden brown and crispy, about 25-30 minutes.

  3. 3

While the chicken is baking, prepare the glaze: In a small pot over high heat combine the hoisin, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sambal oelek, and sesame oil. Bring up to a simmer then lower the heat. Heat on low until wings are done cooking.

  4. 4

Remove wings from the oven and brush with glaze on both sides. Sprinkle with scallions to serve.
