Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 egg yolk
- 4 large prawns
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped )
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and egg yolk, stirring well. Set aside.
- 2
Rinse four large prawns and pat them dry with paper towels. Using a sharp knife, make a shallow cut down the middle of the back of each prawn to create a pocket, being careful not to cut all the way through. Clean and devein the prawns. Transfer them to a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Generously coat each prawn with the mayonnaise mixture and stuff them with shredded cheese, gently pressing the cheese into the pockets to fill the space evenly.
- 4
Bake the prawns in the preheated oven (or on an outdoor grill) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the prawns turn pink and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 5
Serve immediately, garnished with freshly chopped parsley on top.
