Ingredients

2
  • 1 cup full fat milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 cup rava | sooji
  • 1 tbsp curd

Instructions

  1. 1

In a heavy bottomed pan add the milk, sugar, ghee and sooji.

  2. 2

No need to roast the sooji.

  3. 3

Mix everything and start stirring it.

  4. 4

This will thicken in 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

Keep stirring it, else it will stick to the bottom.

  6. 6

I personally don’t prefer adding cardamom powder or saffron to this paal halwa as it will suppress the milk taste.

  7. 7

Once it comes into a whole mass and leaves on the sides, add the cardamom powder, if you wish to add.

  8. 8

    Mix well and the curd.

  9. 9

This gives a nice texture to the milk halwa.

  10. 10

Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

  11. 11

    Switch off the flame.

  12. 12

    Milk halwa is ready.
