Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup White vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Soy sauce
  • 4 pieces Pork chops (1 inch thick)

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 175 degree C.

    Rinse the pork chop and pat dry. Prick some holes on the pork to enable the marinade to better absorbed into the meat.

    In a medium bowl, stir together the hoisin sauce, vinegar, sugar and soy sauce.

    Dip the pork chop into the mixture and place in a shallow baking dish. Pour the remaining sauce over the pork chop. Cover and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes.

    Remove pork chops from fridge at least 1 hour before baking to allow it to come to room temperature.

    Arrange the pork chop in a shallow baking pan and bake the pork chops uncovered until the meat is cooked through, about 30 to 40 minutes. Baste the pork chops with some of the marinade.

    Put the remaining marinade in a pan and boiled it over low heat. Pour a little of the sauce over the baked pork chop before serving. Serve hot with salad and steamed rice.
