- 750 gram chicken meat cut into bite-sized pieces
- 5 shallots chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger crushed
- 4 tablespoons thick soy sauce
- 1 large red onion
- 1 lime juice
- 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- 1/2 red pepper thinly sliced for garnish
- coriander leaves chopped for garnish

Marinate the chicken with salt and turmeric powder. Refrigerate overnight in an airtight container.

Heat oil in a pan and add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry until fragrant.

Add the soy sauce and when sizzling, add the marinated chicken pieces in small amounts. Stir-fry until the chicken is nearly cooked.
