Ingredients
- 4 Fish (whitefish)
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves
- 3 tbsp Gram Flour
- 3 tbsp Plain Flour
- Water (as required)
Instructions
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients, ensuring they are well incorporated to form a smooth and even marinade.
- 2
Add the fish to the bowl, making sure each piece is thoroughly coated with the marinade. Use your hands or a spoon to gently rub the mixture onto the fish for better absorption of flavors.
- 3
Cover the bowl and let the fish marinate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse properly. For enhanced flavor, you can leave it for a longer duration.
- 4
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the marinated fish into the pan.
- 5
Fry each side for approximately 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Adjust the heat if necessary to prevent burning while ensuring the fish is cooked through.
- 6
Remove the fish from the pan and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- 7
Serve hot and enjoy!
