Ingredients

- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1½ pounds large stew chunks
- 1½ medium yellow onions
- 1½ tablespoons garlic paste (or 5 fresh cloves )
- ½ tablespoon ginger paste (or ½ inch cube )
- 1¼ cups tomato sauce
- ¼ cup water
- 1 cup whole milk plain yogurt
- 1½ teaspoons garam masala
- 1½ teaspoons curry powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1½ teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon bullion powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt

Press the sauté button on your instant pot.

Sauté the onion in oil until slightly browned, then add the ginger and garlic pastes and sauté until fragrant.

Add the beef and the spices and mix.

Let it cook for 3 minutes, sautéing occasionally, and add the water.

In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt and tomato sauce well, then pour it into the beef and mix.

Cover and seal the instant pot lid, then turn off sauté mode and turn on Manual Pressure. Put manual pressure on high for 35 minutes.
