- 500 grams minced beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 carrots finely diced
- 1 cup peas
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger minced
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon gochujang
- 1 tablespoon doenjang
- 1 tablespoon honey optional
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon fried shallots
- salt and pepper to taste

Heat 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent. Stir in the diced carrots and peas, cooking until the carrots start to soften, about 5-7 minutes.

Push the vegetables to the side of the pan and add the remaining 1 tbsp of sesame oil to the center. Add the minced beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned all over.

Once the beef is browned, mix in the vegetables. Stir in the gochujang, doenjang, and soy sauce, ensuring the beef and vegetables are well coated. If you prefer a slightly sweeter flavour, add 1 tbsp of honey or brown sugar.

Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld together. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Stir in sesame seeds.
