Ingredients
Quantities are shown as originally provided.
- 8 Fish
- 100 g Gram Flour
- 50 g Plain Flour
- 50 g Corn Flour
- 3 tbsp Tandoori Masala
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds (Crushed)
- 1 tbsp Dried Fenugreek
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 pinch Red Food Colour
- 225 ml Water
Instructions
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients, pastes, lemon juice, and red food color. Mix well to create a smooth and evenly coated marinade.
- 2
Add the fish pieces to the bowl, ensuring each piece is fully coated with the marinade. Gently massage the marinade onto the fish for even absorption. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- 3
Carefully place the marinated fish pieces into the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown and crispy.
- 4
Carefully flip each piece and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side. The fish should be fully cooked, tender, and have a slightly crispy outer layer.
- 5
Once done, remove from heat and serve hot with chutney, salad, or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
