Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cups campari tomatoes
  • 1 cup burrata cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves (stems removed)
  • 2 tbsps olive oil
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • Zest from one orange
  • pinch of coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. 1

The art of a beautiful Tomato Burrata salad is all about the presentation. There is no actual cooking - simply chopping and arranging to make a beautiful meal.

  2. 2

First chop the cherry tomatoes in half lengthwise. Then quarter the campari tomatoes, also lengthwise to create segments.

  3. 3

Place half of the cherry tomatoes and half of the campari tomatoes on each plate to create the base of the salad.

  4. 4

In the center, gently set the burrata ball. Depending on the size of burrata you have it could be 2 small balls or one large ball per person.

  5. 5

Scatter the full basil leaves around the tomatoes on each dish.

  6. 6

Whisk the olive oil and balsamic vinegar together in a small bowl with a pinch of salt to create the vinaigrette. Using a teaspoon, gently sprinkle the vinaigrette over the tomatoes and burrata on each dish.

  7. 7

Lastly, finish with the orange zest. I like to sprinkle the orange zest over the burrata for the strongest visual effect.

  8. 8

    Bon Appetit!
