- 4 garlic cloves(sliced fine or minced)
- 1 ' piece of ginger(sliced or minced)
- 2 medium-sized tomatoes chopped
- 1 large onion sliced fine
- 4 banana peppers sliced fine(substitute with green chillies or bell pepper for a milder flavor)
- 1/2 a teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder(increase or decrease as per your need)
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Jaffna curry powder(substitute with roasted curry poowder or regular curry powder)
- 2 can tuna(chunks)

Have all the ingredients ready.

Drain the canned tuna and set it aside.

Place a medium-sized skillet or frying pan over a low fire.

Pour in the oil, add the sliced garlic(sliced or minced)and the ginger(sliced or minced).

Sauté for a few seconds until they release their aroma.

Add the onions and tomatoes, cook over low-medium heat until the onions turn soft and you have broken down the tomato pieces. 3-5 minutes.

Add the Banana peppers and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.

Avoid increasing heat as you don’t want to fry the onions here.

Once you have all the ingredients in the frying pan, Sautéed, add the turmeric powder, combine well.
