Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 1 lb beef sirloin (thinly sliced)
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 stalks green scallions (finely chopped)
  • 1 bag your favorite frozen veggies (I use mushrooms today)
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1

Slice the beef thinly against the grain (about ¼ inch thick). Defrost the frozen vegetables in a microwave (I use frozen mushrooms today). Drain the water and set aside.

  2. 2

Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a wok or skillet over high heat. Stir fry the beef for about 1 minute, until it changes color slightly. Remove from the heat and set aside.

  3. 3

Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in the work or skillet, stir fry the garlic, scallions and mushrooms for 2 to 3 minutes, seasoning with fish sauce, coconut aminos, salt and pepper.

  4. 4

Return the beef to the pan, add sesame seeds and stir-fry for 2-3 more minutes, until the beef is tender and cooked. Transfer to a serving plate. Season more sesame seeds and scallions if preferred.
