Ingredients

Quantities are shown as originally provided.

  • 2 tablespoon yellow bean sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 8 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon garlic crushed
  • 250 gram flat rice noodles
  • 500 gram Chinese broccoli
  • 200 gram pork thinly sliced
  • 200 gram chicken thinly sliced
  • 1 cup bean sprouts

Instructions

  1. 1

Coat the chicken and pork well with the flour.

  2. 2

Mix the garlic and 2 cups of water with the remaining flour, stirring well.

  3. 3

Heat a wok or large frying pan and add the vegetable oil. Fry the meat in small batches until browned. Once done, drain the excess oil and add the flour and water mixture, along with all the meat.

  4. 4

Reduce to low heat and cook until a gravy forms. To thicken the gravy, add a little more flour and water mixed into a light paste.

  5. 5

In a large saucepan, cook the noodles according to the instructions on the packet.

  6. 6

Mix the soy sauce with the sugar, and dissolve the yellow bean paste in a little hot water, then add it to the meat mixture.

  7. 7

Five minutes before serving, add the Chinese broccoli to the meat mixture.

  8. 8

Combine the noodles with the meat and sauce mixture, then serve, garnished with bean sprouts.
